The lawsuits brought against Donald Trump’s “Trump University” have been settled for $25 million.
The deal, announced Friday by the New York Attorney General’s Office, marks an end to an ongoing problem for the president-elect. But Trump still faces numerous other lawsuits, as noted by the Financial Times.
The class-action lawsuit against Trump University alleged that the program committed fraud and used false advertising and unfair business practices. It also alleged that the program had targeted seniors and therefore violated “financial elder abuse” laws that can carry severe penalties.
Trump University admitted no wrongdoing as part of the deal, according to news reports. Read more…
